Mars Wrigley (Rebel Express)
Advertising Concepts & Marketing Strategy
Problem: Mars Wrigley’s Rebel Express store sits at the heart of UNLV, serving 31,000+ students and faculty. The store has seen a decrease in sales and worries it may not be able to sustain current operations with its volume. From January through May of 2024, I helped to develop concept designs for advertising material, spanning from physical signage, large-scale murals, and digital web-traffic interfaces to explore how Mars Wrigley can increase their revenue in a unique, micro-market built on Amazon Web Services’ “Just Walk Out” (JWO) technology.
Explanation: I was in charge of creating concept designs for Mars’ Rebel Express Unattended Retail Store. Our main problem was consumer knowledge, both surrounding the technology of an unattended retail store and the physical location itself. I conducted on-site research and developed 15+ concept designs to cover all bases of advertising strategy, including physical directional signage, advertising murals, 40+ foot banner designs, and an online website. All pieces below were presented to Mars’ Strategy & Innovation Team, and are now being used to remodel the development to maintain brand awareness and attract organic traffic back to the store.
Designed and rendered in Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
Presentation conducted in Google Slides and further visualized in Google Looker Studio.
