Business Strategy & Marketing Research

Problem: As a Strategy Intern during Fall 2024, I was responsible for research and development for Brightline’s Strategy team. During my internship, I engaged in a large-scale project focused on federal FSP funding. I was also in charge of the creation of reporting and data dashboards to ensure our federal compliance with a previously awarded USD 3,000,000,000 grant. Aside from compliance, I also aided in research for potential sponsorship opportunities in coalition with the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and California Metrolink. Anticipated project completion is 2028.

Explanation: I helped develop a strategy through a two-fold approach. I utilized my marketing experience to develop viewership and ridership reports for our company and others affiliated with the project. Additionally, my work directly aided in the visualization of data and development for federal funding applications, working with cross-functional Construction, Rolling-Stock, and Funding teams to ensure operations would continue and all vendors involved were compliant with standards.
